Powerline DOI-e provides an independent Digital Object Identity & Ethics (DOI-e) platform that enables users to create, manage, and resolve digital identity records for academic and scholarly content.

Powerline DOI-e is not an official DOI registry and does not issue Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) as defined by the International DOI Foundation.

3 Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3.2 Account Creation

Account creation is subject to approval. Users agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain confidentiality of credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under their account
  • Notify us of unauthorized access

3.3 Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Misuse or fraudulent activity
  • Legal or security reasons

Users may request account closure; however, public DOI-e identity records may remain accessible for transparency and reference.

4 DOI-e Identity Creation & Usage

4.1 User Responsibility

By creating DOI-e identifiers, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to associate content with the identity
  • Metadata provided is accurate and lawful
  • Content does not infringe third-party rights
  • Linked resources are valid and accessible

4.2 Persistence & Updates

DOI-e identifiers are designed for long-term reference and transparency. Identifiers cannot be reassigned to different content, but associated links or metadata may be updated when necessary.

4.3 Usage Limits

Creation and usage limits may apply based on subscription plans and system policies.

5 Subscription Plans & Payments

5.1 Plans

We offer multiple plans with varying features and usage limits. Details are available on the pricing page.

5.2 Payments

  • Payments are due at the time of purchase
  • Pricing may be displayed in INR and USD
  • Payments are processed via third-party providers
  • Plans do not auto-renew unless stated

5.3 Plan Changes

Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6 Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create identities for misleading, illegal, or non-existent content
  • Impersonate others or falsify information
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Distribute harmful or malicious material
  • Abuse system limits or security mechanisms
  • Interfere with platform functionality

7 AI-Assisted Verification

The platform may display a verification or identity preview page before redirecting users to external content. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

  • Metadata may be displayed for transparency
  • Access statistics may be collected
  • Verification mechanisms are part of normal operation

8 Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Ownership

All platform software, design, branding, and system features are owned by Powerline DOI-e.

8.2 User Content

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to display metadata and identity records solely for platform operation and transparency.

9 Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Permanent availability of external links
  • Accuracy of third-party content

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Powerline DOI-e shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Data loss or service interruptions
  • Third-party actions or content

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid in the preceding 12 months.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Powerline DOI-e from claims arising from:

  • Misuse of the Service
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Infringement of third-party rights

12 Modifications
