DOI Powerline provides a platform for creating and managing Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for academic and research publications. Our services include:

• AI Shield verification system
• DOI management dashboard
• Analytics and view tracking
• Support services

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3.2 Account Application

Account creation is subject to approval. We reserve the right to reject applications at our discretion. Approved accounts must:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under the account

3.3 Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. Users may also request account deletion by contacting support.

4. DOI Creation and Usage

4.1 DOI Ownership

DOIs created through our platform are assigned to your account. You are responsible for ensuring that:

• You have the right to create DOIs for the associated content
• The publication URLs are valid and accessible
• Author and publication information is accurate
• Content does not violate any laws or third-party rights

4.2 DOI Persistence

DOIs are designed to be persistent identifiers. Once created, DOIs cannot be deleted but may be updated to point to new URLs if publications move. This ensures the integrity of the scholarly record.

4.3 Daily Limits

DOI creation is subject to daily limits based on your subscription plan. Limits reset at midnight (server time) each day.

5. Subscription Plans and Payment

5.1 Plan Types

We offer various subscription plans with different features, daily DOI limits, and pricing. Plan details are available on our pricing page.

5.2 Payment Terms

• Payments are due at the time of subscription
• Prices are listed in both Indian Rupees (INR) and US Dollars (USD)
• All payments are processed securely through authorized payment providers
• Subscriptions are for the specified duration and do not auto-renew unless stated

5.3 Plan Changes

You may upgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create DOIs for fraudulent, misleading, or non-existent publications
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
• Distribute malware or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Use automated systems to abuse the Service
• Create DOIs for content that is illegal, defamatory, or offensive

7. AI Shield Verification

Our AI Shield system provides an additional layer of verification for DOI resolution. By using our service:

• You acknowledge that DOI resolution may include a verification page
• The AI Shield page displays DOI metadata before redirecting to the publication
• View statistics are collected during the verification process

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by DOI Powerline and protected by intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit. By creating DOIs, you grant us a license to display and distribute DOI metadata as necessary for the Service's operation.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
• DOI resolution will always be available

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOI POWERLINE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Any third-party conduct on the Service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DOI Powerline, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the Service

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
